Saturday Afternoon in Texas

A Saturday afternoon in Texas can't get much better than this. We have received some very much needed rain the past couple of days. Today was a just wet and cold. Here is the wonderful roaring fire that I've been sitting by all day. And this little wool pinkeep is the fruit of my labor. My first project in wool. I really enjoyed doing this little project. Now I'm off to do some hand embroidery on ANTOHER project. Sew many projects, sew little time.

Kathy, you made me miss Texas, next month it will be a year and I'm kinda homesick. Love your little pin keep. Enjoy your fire.

You did a very good job with that project. I am preferring small projects lately.....I like to see results quickly and also, I find it's easier on the pocketbook to do small projects! GOOD job, Kathy!

It sure is a good thing that we are having this 'hot cocoa (with peppermint schnaaps) kind of weather. It helps us work on those project that you mention.

Beautiful work on that pin cushion!

Just love that pin keep - which is a new term for me as well.

I also really like your fireplace screen. You know, there is just something about Texans - they are so proud of their state and you see that star that is so Texas on so many items. Maybe if everyone would show that level of loyality to their state and country, this would be a much better country we live in.

I have not tried working with wool yet. Your little pin keep is adorable! Was it your own pattern?

Hi, enjoyed your blog. We camped at Fairfield Lake last July. Very enjoyable!
I have a dear friend who spends 3 or 4 days a week in Fairfield sitting with a frail grandchild. She sews beautifully. I'll bet you guys would enjoy knowing each other.
