Happy Halloweeen

Hope every is having a nice Halloween. The Wacky Pac Quilters are having our annual "Opening Deer Season" quilting retreat. We've been doing this for about 4-5 years and we always have sew much fun. We laugh till we pee!
OH MY GOSH! Is that a rat on my sewing machine?????? Yep, it is, but it's not real. Molly gave us all little treat bags full of candy and inside was this little rubber rat. It was really funny. I put mine up on my sewing machine. Every now and then, while sewing and I glance, that thing would scare me to death!

I gave everybody a little treat bag as well and inside were these most-becoming glasses!!!!! We had a blast playing around in these crazy glasses. Here are six of the nine Wackies: front row -- Jerri and Molly. Back row -- Annie, Rhonda, Kathy, and Kathleen.

OH my..that rat would give me a start too, it looks so real. Last year my grandson got one of those plastic spiders that are kind of rubbery and look real. He would leave it around the house and everytime I saw it made me run out of the room. I finally gave it to his dad and told him to put it away or it was going in the trash.

Retreat looks like a great place and y'all are having so much fun.

I would scream every time I looked at my sewing machine if I saw a plastic rat sitting there! lol

You girls have just as much fun as my sewing friends and I do. All I could think about for my treat bags were fat quaters and candy. I'll have to give them glasses like that next year!! That's just too funny!

What a great idea to have a retreat for deer season! Frankly, by the time my husband gets out the door I'm ready to soak in the silence. You'd think he was going to circle the earth at all the stuff he takes. :) blessings, marlene

Oops, remember I didn't set the date on my camera when we took the picture with the weird glasses on - it says 2006. I cropped out the date before I put it on my blog. sorry.
